You must submit a Transfer Out Request in the International Services Portal. Once your Designated School Official (DSO) releases your SEVIS record, the new school can issue your updated I-20.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\"><span>F-1 Transfer Eligibility<\/span><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>To be eligible to transfer your F-1 SEVIS record, you must meet <\/span><strong>all<\/strong><span> of the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>You are maintaining valid F-1 status<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Actively enrolled or on approved post-completion OPT<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>You have an admission offer<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span>The transfer-in school must be SEVP-certified<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Your new program begins within the required timeline<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span>Eligibility depends on your current F-1 category:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Currently Enrolled Students<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span>You must continue attending classes and maintaining status until your SEVIS release date.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>SEVIS Release Date: Last day of classes on 果酱视频\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/worddev.web.adelphi.edu\/academics\/academic-calendar\/\">academic calendar<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Graduating \/ Program Completion Students<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Your new program must begin within 5 months of your last day of classes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Your Transfer Out Request must be submitted within your 60-day grace period.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>SEVIS Release Date:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Last day of classes or program end date, whichever applies<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>If you are already in the grace period \u2192 date processed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Students on Post-Completion OPT<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span>Your new program must begin within 5 months of your OPT end date.<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span><\/span><span>Your Transfer Out Request must be submitted within your 60-day grace period following your OPT end date.<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">SEVIS Release Date:\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">OPT end date<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">or the date processed if you are already in the grace period (unless you request a different date)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Initial Status Students<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span>Your new program must begin within 30 days of entering the U.S.<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span>Your Transfer Out Request must be submitted before 果酱视频\u2019s last day to add a class for your initial term.<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span>SEVIS Release Date: Date processed by the DSO.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important note for SEVIS records in Terminated Status<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>If your SEVIS record is terminated, you must upload proof that the new school will accept a terminated SEVIS transfer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In this situation:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span>Your SEVIS record will transfer in terminated status, and<\/span><\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\"><span>You must submit a reinstatement application to USCIS within 5 months of your violation date (after receiving a reinstatement I-20 from the new school).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Request the Release of Your SEVIS Record<\/h2>\n<p><span>Follow these steps to request a transfer through the International Services Portal:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Log into the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/adelphi-isss.terradotta.com\/index.cfm?FuseAction=Security.AngLogin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>International Services Portal<\/span><\/a><span> using your eCampus credentials<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Navigate to Student Requests and select Transfer Out Request.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Upload proof of admission (your acceptance letter) from the transfer-in school.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Upload the school\u2019s transfer-in form for the DSO to complete.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Initial status students must also submit the Immigration Check-In Request, and the new program must begin within 30 days before or after entering the U.S.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span>Students with terminated SEVIS records must upload proof the new school accepts terminated transfers and should expect to file for reinstatement after the transfer.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you plan to attend a new school as an F-1 student, you must complete a SEVIS transfer\u2014a federal immigration process that electronically moves your SEVIS (I-20) record from 果酱视频 to your new school after you receive an admission offer.
