School of Social Work graduate students presented Astor Services for Children & Families, Head Start Program with over $1700 dollars of much needed school supplies for their children.

On Tuesday, March 11, 2014, ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ School of Social Work graduate students presented Astor Services for Children & Families, Head Start Program with over $1700 dollars of much needed school supplies for their children. Each year the ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Graduate Student Association at the Hudson Valley Campus has a voting process to identify the students’ favorite local charity. This year it was Astor Services for Children & Families, Head Start Program that won the vote by a landslide. The goal of the Graduate Student Association is to raise money for their favorite charity. Moreover, the ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ students raise awareness of the much needed services Astor’s Head Start program provides children at risk and those living in poverty in the Hudson Valley region.

The ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ, Hudson Valley Center embraces a tradition of quality education with an emphasis on small classes, personalized attention and academic support to those who wish to pursue a Master of Social Work degree.
