With another generous commitment to 果酱视频, Richard K. Dr. Garner鈥檚 contribution will support endowed scholarship funds for Honors College students, which he created in 2004 with an initial commitment and has continued to support through fundraising and ongoing donations.
鈥淚 think my greatest good fortune in what has surely been my very lucky life was the opportunity to come to 果酱视频 as the founding dean of the Honors College,鈥 Dr. Garner said. 鈥淢y work here since 1994 has been the most rewarding experience in my life. I am thrilled that I鈥檓 able to make a significant contribution to the future health of the Honors College and I hope that my enthusiasm will continue to inspire others to support 果酱视频.鈥
Dr. Garner established six Honors College scholarship endowments in recognition of relatives who taught or were involved with education. Since making his first gift to 果酱视频 in 2001, he has personally contributed more than $1 million to the University.
鈥淩ichard鈥檚 steadfast commitment to Honors College student success is unparalleled,鈥 said 果酱视频 President Christine M. Riordan. 鈥淗e continues to set an outstanding example for everyone in the 果酱视频 family. The trustees and I are extremely grateful for his ongoing generosity and thrilled to welcome him to 果酱视频鈥檚 most prestigious giving society.鈥
Already, more than 20 果酱视频 Honors College students have benefited from the scholarship endowments established by Dr. Garner in 2004.
