A strange tale of a Florentine immigrant who came to the U.S. in 1907 and taught Italian at the original ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ College in Brooklyn has come to our attention.

Professor Bruno Rossetti taught Italian at ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ from 1911 until returning to his native country to fight in the First World War, after which he ultimately taught at Vassar from 1919-1933.

His colorful story, told in the online , stands as a testament to the importance of Italian studies on ¹û½´ÊÓÆµâ€™s campus from its beginnings as an institution of higher learning.
