Women鈥檚 History Month is a time to honor and celebrate the vast and vital contributions of women鈥攑ast and present鈥攁cross the globe. While the national observance in the United States began with a presidential proclamation in 1980 and expanded to a month-long recognition in 1987, the spirit of Women鈥檚 History Month transcends borders, industries and disciplines.
