Incoming Exchange Students
Study Abroad at ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ in New York is open to exchange students fromÌý¹û½´ÊÓÆµ exchange partners.
Exchange students continue to pay their home school tuition and fees and are responsible to pay for their airfare, room and board at ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ, and personal expenses. The Center for International Education assists exchange students with course placement, housing and immigration documents. Interested students should consult with their home university exchange coordinator to be nominated. Once a student is nominated by the partner institution, the CIE will send application instructions.

Protocol for Exchange Student Applications
- Nomination from an administrator at the exchange partner institution (May 1 for Fall and November 1 for Spring).
- CIE sends exchange partner institutionÌýapplication instructions.
- Students submit online J-1 Student Application to ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ. Application Deadlines:Ìý Fall or Academic year:ÌýApril 30; Spring:ÌýOctober 1
- ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Notifies Student of Admission Decision within two weeks of application submission.
- Student works with International Services to obtain the DS-2019, which is required to apply for the J-1 visa.
